Hopefully the author has a few more in mind. If you're on the fence and new to this go for it, it's totally work the dollar! Very basic and a good reference. The pictures and directions were understandable but the contrast between thread and fabric could have been better.

Easy peasy reading and the pictures and instructions are simple to follow.

Now I feel confident that I will with practice be able to create some awesome art with thread!.. Very basic stitches.

Better for a beginner. Once I got to the world "taught" instead of "taut" two times in pages, I quit reading. Do people not check for spelling and grammatical issues?

This is a basic book with very few different stitches. There are enough however, to do a first project.

The only complaints I have are that the directions for the French knot are a bit difficult to follow. You should wrap the thread around the needle twice in order to get a real knot.

Great for the beginner or as a refresher for the basic stitches. Step-by-step photos make it easy to follow. It was worth the price for me as I had embroidered decades ago and needed a reminder. I'll definitely get something else for more advanced stitches, but I am very happy with this to help me get back into embroidery.
