Definite bonus points for the audio version being read by the author. As with any advice solicited or unsolicited , some feels irrelevant and some resonates. The pearls of wisdom that resonate make the entire work definitively worthwhile.

I therefore, had high expectations from this book. This is probably why it was a let down. I felt the choice of letters to reply to were not that good and except for some really poignant queries, most were repetitive. Cheryl's answers too were not great - too much personal stuff, and way too long.

Forgiveness is the old fat guy you have to haul up a hill. Look hard. Risk that.

Don't be strategic or coy. Strategic and coy are for jackasses. Be brave. Be authentic. Practice saying the word 'love' to the people you love so when it matters the most to say it, you will.

You have to do it yourself, whether you're rich or poor, out of money or raking it in, the beneficiary of ridiculous fortune or terrible injustice. And you have to do it no matter what is true. No matter what is hard. No matter what unjust, sad, sucky things befall you.

Self-pity is a dead-end road. You make the choice to drive down it.
